I am an NSF postdoc and L.E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago. Previously, I was a PhD student at the University of California, Irvine advised by Jesse Wolfson. My mathematical interests sit near the crossroads of geometry, topology, and group theory. More specifically, I study mapping class groups of algebraic varieties, the geometry of locally symmetric spaces, and group actions on moduli spaces.Â
My CV is here.
I abide by Federico Ardila's axioms:
Mathematical potential is distributed equally among different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
